Investigation of the effect of friction location on wave run-up and energy dissipation

The effect of friction on wave run-up and energy dissipation, and particularly the effect of the location of friction elements along a slope, has been investigated using the numerical model Odiflocs. The goal of this exercise was to determine where, along a slope, friction elements were most effective in reducing run-up level and maximizing energy dissipation.
