Intercomparison of WAVEC and two Directional Waveriders at 'Noordwijk'
In 1984 Rijkswaterstaat started to monitor the wave energy and wave direction at 7 locations in the Hydro Meteo Network North Sea through WAVEC buoys. In 1989 Datawell introduced the directional waverider. A comparison between both buoytypes in real sea was executed near the Dutch coast at the Meetpost Noordwijk location.
