Policy Analysis and Scenario development for Passenger transpORT (PASPORT) : phase 1 : supporting volume 2 : characteristics and capabilities of Dutch passenger transport system models
The general scope of the PASPORT project is to generate tactics and to develop strategies and compare them in terms of their estimated consequences. This report, the tool audit, gives a detailed examination of the usefulness of the existing passenger transportation models. The following models are examined: LMS (Landelijk Model Systeem), Randstad model, SMART (Strategic Model for Analysing Regional Travel patterns), Ruimpad system, TransCAD, Scenario Explorer, Mobility Explorer, FACTS (Forecasting Air pollution by Car Traffic Simulation), EVV (Evaluatie Verkeer en Vervoer), and SILENCE.
