The Northwest European Shelf Pilot Model : version 1.3

This simple PC based model illustrates the ability of models to contribute to further understanding of the region with respect to hydrodynamics, water quality, and ecology. In addition, the possibility of expanding the scope of much ongoing North Sea work to include the greater area of the Northwest European Shelf is shown. By focusing on the larger area, extra insight is gained regarding the large scale issues of water circulation and substance transport which are critical for evaluating the overall ecosystem.
