General European Road Data Information Exchange Network GERDIEN : DRIVE-II project number V2044, deliverable no 4, workpackage SP2.WP1 : system design generic road management system
This document describes the design of a Generic Road Management System (GRMS) in the GERDIEN infrastructure. GRMS are a family of systems with common characteristics at the regional and the national level of the network. The design in this document will enable the development of an empty shell system that will form the basis for the integration of the selected ATT (Advanced road Transport Telematics) applications in the Gerdien project. An important characteristic of GRMS in the Gerdien network is the ability to map the incoming roadsidedata, which is localized with the aid of curve linear attributes, on a common network model of the roadmap.
