The proper functioning of vision-based Lane Departure Warning Assistant (LDWA) systems depends on lane markings on the road infrastructure. The information input for the systems to determine the exact location of the vehicle on the road comes from the lane markings. The purpose of this report is to identify what the infrastructural consequences would be if the systems were to be introduced on a large scale in th Nederlands.
