Geotechnische stabiliteit geocontainers : analyse van modelonderzoek in Venetiëfaciliteit
In the framework of the Delft Cluster research small scale tests have been carried out in the Venice Facility of Delft Hydraulics, regarding the geotechnical stability of a dam consisting of a mount of geocontainers. The tests have been carried out with a mount of relative thin geocontainers (6 cm thick) and a mount of geocontainers filled with more sand (9.3 cm thick), both on a scale 20. Between the geocontainers there were pressure cells installed to measure the pressure transmission of the wave load into the dam. In spite of the rather heavy loads, the dams have not collapsed. Based on a comparison with a calculation model it is concluded that this calculation model is too conservative. With the measured pressure of transmission in the mount of geocontainers it is possible to improve the calculation model in the future phase of this research.
