Libertas Mari : freedom for the seas : protection of seamount and cold-water coral ecosystems in areas beyond national jurisdiction
This report is to propose an effective legal and management framework for protection of seamounts and cold-water coral reefs in areas beyond national jurisdiction from the destructive effects of bottom trawling. This environmental problem is analyzed with help of a so-called ?problem-in-context? framework. In this report the precautionary, ecosystem and integrated approaches are used.
