Determination of aromatic-DNA adducts in lever of flounder (Platichthys flesus) from Euromonding and the North Sea Canal
Study to validate DNA adduct analysis in relation with the assessment of PAH exposure in flounder. The aim of the present study is to determine the contribution of environmental pollution to the formation of aromatic DNA adducts, in order to evaluate DNA dosimetry as a biological monitoring technique for carcinogenic PAH exposure in aquatic environments. The present study is part of a larger study on the selection of the most suitable biomarkers for further use in pollution monitoring programmes involving the marine and estuarine environments.
