The oil spill test kit
Deals with oil pollution and effective combatment of it. In order to measure the properties of (spilled) oil on sea, coast or beach quick and easy, an oil spill test kit has been developed by Rijkswaterstaat in cooperation with Labofina. This kit contains among other things measuring instrument. Some of these instruments were tested on several crudes on: accuracy, reliability, reproducability, manageability and how quick the measurements can be done. The results of these tests were that the most instruments did meet the requirements. Other methods and instruments need improvement.
