The signal of the observed current on the Eastern of Scheldt and along the coast of Texel island is examined by means of several low-pass digital filters to remove tidal period part as to obtain the residual current. The Godin filter moves the tidal period but causes same attenuation of amplitude with a period about 2 days. However this is an important part of the original signal caused indeed through wind effects. The Butterworth filter conserves this amplitude.
