Current practices in monitoring and assessment of rivers and lakes
Inventory, addresses monitoring and assessment of transboundary rivers and lakes for physico-chemical as well as biological variables. Routine monitoring but also early-warning and effluent monitoring are included. The report serves several purposes, the main being a way to reveal at which transboundary locations monitoring and assessment by the adjacent countries might need adjustments in order to obtain mutually comparable results meeting general objectives set. Secondly, this report is to be used for general reference, like an overview of which institutes are involved in the monitoirng and assessment.
