A review of dynamic vehicle ownership models

As an initial step toward the possible development of a dynamic household vehicle ownership forecasting model system, a literature review of existing vehicle ownership models was conducted. Section 2 of this report offers a detailed summary of a selected set of models that contain some dynamic elements. Section 3 is a summary of findings. Appendix I presents specific details of the models reviewed in the report. A brief review of economic theories pertinent in vehicle transaction modelling is given in appendix II.
