Selection of storm events and estimation of exceedance frequencies of significant wave height for five north Sea locations

The present study is the first phase of the estimation of statistics near the 20 m depth contour . lt follows a number of pilot studies which were carried out to determine the methodology . This reports describes the selection of storm events and the corresponding measurements of several wave, wind and sea level parameters at five offshore locations. Also, estimates of omnidirectional exceedance frequencies of the significant wave height Hm0 at these five locations are presented.
