Voordelta morphological study : schematization of the natural conditions in multi-dimensional numerical models of coastal morphology : report on investigation
To calculate morphological developments of a coastal area both currents and waves are important. For many coastal situations they depend on tides and wind. Weighting procedures have been developed to reduce the number of combinations of current and wave conditions to acceptable minimum. The most important requirement to a good weighting procedure is that the selected boundary conditions result in the same morphological developments as would be obtained from the actual conditions that appear.
