The MAESTRO-1 campaign : analyses of polarimetric SAR data of agricultural fields and forests
The MAESTRO-1 radar campaign, carried out under the auspices of ESA and JRC, focused on the deployment of the AIRSAR, a modern polarimetric multiband imaging radar system developed at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. On the 16th of August 1989 three sites in The Netherlands: an agricultural area, the Holsterwold forest in Southern Flevoland and the Speulderbos forest at The Veluwe, were flown and an extensive dataset was collected.
