Presents the papers by the National Coordinators of Infra Eco Network Europe (IENE). The information in these papers refers to the following subjects: habitat fragmentation as an environmental problem; research programs related to habitat fragmentation due to infrastructure on national level; activities to minimize the effects of infrastructure on habitats (mitigation and compensation); governmental strategies; existent legislation for the civil engineering sector to implement defragmentation measures; evaluation of the cooperation between the sectors transportation and environment.
