Water quality and waste-water management in the Netherlands
Paper describing water management in the Netherlands. After a brief discription of the country, management of both water quantity and waterquality are discussed. Emphasis is on the necessity of an intregral approach of water management. The developments concerning the collection, transport and treatment of wastewater are discussed, as is the financing of wastewater-treatmentplants. Gaps in present knowledge and the needs for future research areindicated, as well as short term solutions for present problems.
