Guidelines for the dimensions and design of waterways for commercial traffic and leisure craft

Describes the constraints imposed by the vessel, the requirements of navigation, the water and the environment, on the basis of which the appropriate shape and dimensions of the wetted section can be derived to ensure smooth and safe navigation on the designated part of a waterway. Management aspects are also described. The dimensions of the waterway compartments and the structures (locks, bridges) are set out.
