Results of researches conducted with respect to the technical, practical and financial feasability to decrease the permissible amount of residue remaining in cargo tanks and associated piping of tankers after unloading and/or stripping operations below a value of 100 litres. Subjects of investigation have been tankers suitable for the carriage of different noxious bulk liquids (category B and C, as defined in Annex II of MARPOL 73/78).
