Analysis of the local effects of ramp-metering on two junctions with the motorway A10-West using FLEXSYT

As part of a study of the possibilities of achieving a system of coordinated ramp-metering installations on the A10-West (motorway interchange "De Nieuwe Meer" - motorway interchange "Coenplein"), a SATURN-study was undertaken to investigate the effects of ramp-metering on network level. To determine the effects of ramp-metering on local level a FLEXSYT-study was conducted at two junctions with RW10 West (the S102 "Nieuwe Havens" and the S105 "Geuzenveld"), of which the results are described in this report. Chapter 2 describes the problem. Chapter 3 describes the program applied and the alternatives analyzed. Chapter 4 contains the research results and chapter 5 the conclusions.
