This document discusses emissions from various processes within the primary iron and steel industry (sinter plants, pellet plants, coke plants, blast furnaces, basic oxygen furnaces). Each chapter dealing with one of the processes, starts from general process descriptions and simplified general process schemes. At the end of each chapter a table with a survey of emission sources, relevant substances, BAT and corresponding emission standards is provided.
