Geological research in the ebb-tidal delta of 'Het Friesche zeegat', The Netherlands
The main objective of this research project was to reconstruct the Holocene geological history in relation to morphodynamic processes of the inlet system and the associated tidal basis, ebb-tidal delta, barrier islands and shoreface. The project was divided into three parts: the reclaimed interior part of the tidal basin (Lauwersmeer), the present tidal basin (Wadden Sea) and the outer ebb-tidal delta.
