Spatial distribution of nutrients in the North Sea, and their natural background and reference values
This paper presents the reference values for inorganic nutrients N, P, and dissolved silicate (diss. Si) in various geographical regions, as well as the measured mean winter concentrations from 1975 to 1986, in the same zones. The data may provide insight in the present seawaterquality and may answer the question to what extent the present conditions deviate from a "normal"/desired situation.
