The relations between : oil on sea - oil on the coast and oil on sea-oiled birds

This report handles about the relations between oil on sea on the one hand and oil on the coast and oiled birds on the other hand. It has been achieved by, among others, the research at nine locations at the Dutch coast, from Den Helder in the North-West to the island Schouwen in the province of Zeeland, in the South-West of the country, for nine weeks during the months March and April. This research contained the search for oilresidues and/or oiled birds on the beaches of these nine locations. From these oilresidues, samples have been taken and have been analysed by the Government Institute for the Purification of Wastewater = Rijkswaterstaat, Dienst Binnenwateren (RWS, DBW). From these analyses appeared if there was any relationship between other samples of oilresidues or oiled birds. For some samples it was easy to make a relation between other samples, but for some samples it was difficult to make any relation at all. These relations have been made by gaschromatography.
