Mixture design procedure of porous asphalt concrete (PAC) by means of the REMIX technique (on site) in the Netherlands
Describes a procedure in which old porous asphalt concrete (PAC) can be recycled into an end product which is expected - on the basis of being tested against specific requirements - to have a life expectancy comparable to that of a standard mixture according to the specifications of the Dutch Organisation for Highway Rationalisation and Automation (Standard RAW Specifications 1990). The design procedure is divided into an exploratory survey, a preliminary research and testing against the requirements. A brief description is given of the more advanced tests together with background information.
