Inventory of information requirements for axle loading measuring data : Weigh-In-Motion NETwork project (WIM-NET) : phase I

An inventory was carried out of potential users of Weigh-In-Motion (WIM) data. The data requirements for WIM have been stipulated in this report. The information was collected through interviews and during a workshop. The results will be used in the subsequent phases of the WIM-NET project. Most of the end users require statistical information, whilst some users intend using real time information. Ideas about locations for WIM systems also emerged. It is preferable that system and data management are kept together. For some applications, WIM data need to be interfaced with other information. Such applications, however, are not covered by the WIM-NET project.
