Hydra-Ring, Functional Design, version 25.2.1,: Software for the safety assessment of primary flood defences (BOI), Probabilistic Toolbox for the BOI
This is the Functional Design of Hydra-Ring version 25.2.1, part of BOI (in Dutch: Beoordelings en Ontwerp Instrumentarium). Hydra-Ring is the computational core of Riskeer, the software program.
The Functional Design of Hydra-Ring version 25.2.1 is described in this document. Hydra Ring should be able to perform probabilistic computations for dikes, dunes, and structures at locations along primary flood defences adjacent to lakes, coasts, estuaries, and rivers. The requirements gathered in this document are both functional and non-functional in nature. For geotechnical failure mechanisms, the design of Hydra-Ring allows for the evaluation of subsoil scenarios. For revetments, the Hydra-Ring design supports multiple layers. Hydra Ring interfaces with distinct modules and libraries to enhance the maintainability of the source code. Hydra-Ring includes connections to five databases:
- the project database,
- the con figuration database,
- the hydraulic load configuration database (HLCD),
- the hydraulic results database (HRD),
- and the preprocessor Closure output database (optional)
