Summary Report Assessment of Technologies for the Electronic Registration Number

This document is the summary report of the study initiated by the Adviesdienst Verkeer en Vervoer (AVV) of the Ministry of Traffic and Water Management. The study was named “Assessment EK Technologie”, project code VT 99.700. De study is aimed to enhance the understanding of the possibilities, impossibilities and attractiveness of technical options to provide an Electronic Registration Number (ERN) to each vehicle registered in the Netherlands. The scope of the study is within the strategy definition for introduction of Electronic Vehicle Identification in the Netherlands.
