Port and fairway of Rotterdam : data about harbour rules and regulating and operational problems

The essence of this note is to present a condensed overall picture of the nautical procedures followed in the Rotterdam Waterway area for the purpose of regulating the navigation of pilot-assisted ships. The note is meant to be of a temporary nature and will be followed by an extensive information survey. For reference purposes the most important announcements for the regulation of marine-traffic are added in the Dutch version as appendix I and II. Appendix III deals with the communication rules for entering and leaving harbours and harbour basins and is presented only in the Dutch version as an addition to appendix II.
