Po plume impact on the geomorphology of the Adraitic coast : input for a distributed information system

Elaborates the combination of the scientific study of cause-effect relationships in coastal change, and the practical issue of data and information management for DESMA-CC. Structured as seven main sections including introduction. Section 2 introduces the study area. Section 3 gives an overview of data and methods. Sections 4& 5 concern thematic cause-effect relationships that determine the impact of river plumes and patterns in suspended sediment transport on coastal change along the Adriatic Sea. Section 6 shows the implementation of the case in DESIMA-CC. Section 7 presents a summary of the report and places it in the flame of decision maing in coastal management.
