The work presented included applied research and monitoring, management, institutional set up, national and regional integration. The demands for alleviation of poverty and promotion of sustainable development, coupled with the lack of resources in doing research only for the sake of science. The subjects studied should be dictated by the needs for management and for conservation of the resources and environment.
