Erosion and deposition characteristics of natural muds : sediments from the Eems-Dollard (Eems harbour)
A sediment sample from the 'Eems-Dollard' tidal basin is investigated with respect to its behaviour on deposition and erosion under steady flow as well as under tidal conditions. An annular flume is used to quantify the parameters governing these processes. Parallel to these tests various physico-chemical properties of the sediment are determined.
