Numerical simulation of gravity wave motion on steep slopes : application of the two-dimensional boundary element program BEACH to free surface potential flows on slopes
The physical and mathematical formulation of the water motion is given, with the approximations made by using incompressible potential flow. Also other formulations, both one- and two-dimensional are considered. An outline of the used boundary element method is given, aswell as a comparison with other numerical methods for free surface flows.
