Coastal zone management centre

The Coastal Zone Management Centre (CZMC) provides a platform for cooperation and transfer of information on the sustainable management of coastal resources. The centre has been set up in response to the call by the 1992 UN Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) for the exchange of know-how and technology to enhance implementation of Integrated Coastal Zone Management Programmes by coastal nations around the world. Contains also project information: Capacity building for management of marine and coastal protected areas ; Integrated coastal zone management in Nicaragua ; Netcoast information and communication on Internet about integrated coastal zone management ; Liaison with land-ocean interactions in the coastal zone (LOICZ) programme ; Netherlands climate change studies assistance programme ; Support for the sustainable development of the Yellow river delta ; Integrated coastal zone management plan for the Baltic coast of Lithuania and Latvia.
