Wave growth limit in shallow water : data inventory, data collection and web site

In shallow lakes in the Netherlands the wave conditions during extreme storms are largely determined by phenomena which limit the wave height, such as wave breaking and dissipation by bottom friction. Aim is to improve the modelling of such phenomena. Correct prediction of wave growth is a good test of the models. The work described in this report includes inventorying suitable shallow water wave data, where possible collectin it and setting up a web site with information about work being carried out in this area.
