Study of the literature on three-lane highways
Chapter 2 examines the various types of two-lane and three-lane highways. Chapter 3 indicates why there is renewed interest in three-lane highways, while chapter 4 deals with each individual aspect throughout the literature (traffic flows and capacity, road safety, impact on road users, road design). Finally, chapter 5 presents the results of the study of the literature, which lead to a number of conclusions and recommendations.
