Impacts of dynamic travel information : the Wegwijs case study : model development : final report

The purpose of the study is to outline, develop, and test a traffic simulation procedure suitable for the simulation of a beacon guidance system operating under several scenarios. The types of scenarios range from equipping a portion of the vehicles (0 to 20%), to providing guidance to a certain segment of the guided travellers to park-and-ride facilities. These scenarios were tested using "abnormal" day and incident scenarios to calculate the benefits and disbenefits of the guidance system.
