Probabilistic Library

Functional Design: This document describes the Functional design of the Probabilistic Library of BOI (in Dutch: Beoordelings- en Ontwerp Instrumentarium). The BOI program derives guidelines, methods and tools for the statutory safety assessment and design of flood defences in the Netherlands. The Probabilistic Library provides a set of routines that enable system reliability analyses. The general goal of system reliability analyses is the derivation of the probability of failure of a system consisting of multiple components. The functional design describes functional and non-functional requirements imposed on the Probabilistic Library.

Tutorial: This tutorial is an introduction to the methods and concepts used in the probabilistic library with emphasis on how to use it in actual programs. It does assume some familiarity with probabilistic techniques.

Technical Design: This document describes the functions and their interface that are available in the Probabilistic Library. It also shows how the requirements given in the functional design are implemented.

Test Plan: This document presents the Test plan of the Probabilistic Library of BOI (in Dutch: Beoordelings- en Ontwerp Instrumentarium). The BOI program derives guidelines, methods and tools for the statutory safety assessment and design of flood defences in the Netherlands. The Probabilistic Library provides a set of algorithms that enable system reliability analyses. The general goal of system reliability analyses is the derivation of the probability of failure of a system consisting of multiple components.
This test plan shows how each of the functional and non-functional requirements imposed on the Probabilistic Library will be tested. Most of the requirements will be tested by means of unit, integration and system tests, conform the V-model.

Test report: This is the Test report of the Probabilistic Library of BOI (in Dutch: Beoordelings- en Ontwerp Instrumentarium). In this report, the test results are given for each of the functional and non-functional requirements, which are imposed on the Probabilistic Library by the Functional design. This Test report follows from the test strategy as described in the Test plan for the the Probabilistic Library. Note that the library has not been officially released yet. This document reports the state of the Probabilistic Library on the 29" of November, 2019.
