Framework on integrated models and indicators for European Coastal Zone Management : report for ETC consultation

This study aims to contribute to the development of tools for ICZM in a pan-European context. The development of tools is in line with the general approach of the European Environmental Agency, referred to as MDIR (Monitoring, Data, Information, Assessment and Reporting). Indicators and models play a crucial role in the MDIAR approach and have to be brought on a more operational level. This report presents the results of a reconnaissance study into both principles and possibilities of using indicators and models for ICZM.
