Analysis of the vertical structure of the horizontal current velocity components : progress report

In order to provide tools for the prediction of long-term coastal evoluation, the Coastal Genesis project has been initiated. This report concerns a study, as a part of this project, on the mathematical description of large-scale residual currents. The study looks into threedimensional (3D) aspects of residual currents, with the aim to gather insights that can be incorporated into existing current models and that can be interpreted in terms of morphological impact.
