Applying functional evaluations to aggregates as a geological construction material = Functionele evaluaties als alternatief voor de standaardevaluatie van geologische constructiematerialen
The evaluation of aggregates as a geological construction material has traditionally been based on the use of standard tests and standard evaluation procedures. However, due to the lack of detailed knowledge and the abundance of high-quality material, the requirements set in these standards are on a very high level. Also, the durability aspect of these materials is usually not incorporated in much detail. It is thought that the evaluation could be improved by applying a functional analysis. For such analyses however it is important to follow a consequent methodology to be successful.
