Natural Development Project Grensmaas : Environmental Impact Assessment Study : one dimensional morphological modelling : SOBEK morphological simulations : Report 3.2

A one dimensional morphological mathematical modelling of the river Grensmaas is treated here with the help of the package SOBEK GRADED. Calibration and verification of the model has been carried out using data derived from scale model tests. A second verification has been done in which the riverbed levels for 1994/1995 have been forecast based on the bed levels measured in 1984. Next the bed levels after 20 and 45 years have been computed using the present geometry of the river. This exercise was repeated for the Zero Alternative in which flood protection dikes and compensating measures to reduce water level increases were applied. Thereafter bed level developments were calculated for the other geometries.
