Contribution to the standardization of the methods of analysis for heavy metals in sediments

At the second meeting of the Joint Monitoring Group within the Oslo and Paris Conventions at Santa Maria, the Dutch delegation was requested to study standardization of the analysis of heavy metals in sediments (sample collection, preservation, analysis, presentation of results). Part I of this report constitutes a literature study of this topic. In Part II an evaluation of the literature study and of other recommendations for the standardization of the examination of heavy metals in sediments is given.
