The Behaviour of a 200.00 DWT Tanker in Shallow Water
The behaviour of a loaded 200.000 DWT tanker in shallow water has been studied on model scale. Particular attention has been paid to: the sinkage of the ship due to her speed, the current velocity and irregular waves and the manoeuvrability of the ship in several sailing conditions. The basic study is a part of an investigation in connection with the approach of large tankers to Rotterdam-Europoort.
