Intelligent transportation system in Shanghai : technology transfer The Netherlands-China : report of the visit of a Dutch delegation to Shanghai, 18-22 October 1998

Reports on the visit to several institutes reponsible for traffic control. Concluded is that much equipment of a high technical level is available and that personnel working with the ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems) is well trained, but that much more could be accomplished if an enhanced traffic management strategy would be developed. The Netherlands could assist with the setup of a Shanghai Traffic Information Center (TIC).
