Feasibility of a small container for inland shipping : optimisation through standardisation : results phase 1

One of the possibilities to increase inland shipping is to provide a more efficient transhipment method and to shorten transit time by introducing smaller and standard loading units. This study intends to evaluate the feasibility of these standard loading units for inland shipping purposes. Findings, conclusions and recommendations are displayed in this report.
